September 2016 Staff Promotions

Windsor Advantage provides a comprehensive outsourced SBA and USDA loan department to more than 75 banks and credit unions in 27 states.   With a servicing portfolio of more than $800 million and approaching $1 billion in loan closings since 2010, Windsor’s most important asset remains its people.

In the first six months of 2016, Windsor closed more than $220 million in SBA 7(a) and USDA loans, or 2.0% of all SBA volume in the country.    With this record setting volume, Windsor Advantage is excited to announce several key promotions.

Will McClain, Director

Will joined Windsor in September 2012 as a Senior Associate in the loan Processing Department (including the application processing and loan closing functions).   He quickly increased responsibilities within the department, and was promoted to Vice President and head of the department in June 2014.   As department head, Will was responsible for more than $450 million in loan closings and implemented the process efficiencies that allowed Windsor achieve record setting volumes in 2015 and 2016.

Prior to joining Windsor, Will was an analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.   He graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Accounting & Finance and was the president and captain of the men’s club lacrosse team.

In his new role as Director, Will is responsible for all initial discussions with our clients, with a focus on structuring and prequalification of SBA and USDA loans.   Additionally, Will has significant responsibilities in ensuring process efficiencies between our clients and their strategic partners.   We expect continued expansion in this department with additional hires in 2017.

Mike Breckheimer, Director

Mike joined Windsor in September 2014 as Vice President of the Risk Management Department (including the documentation and intensive servicing functions).   In his first two years with Windsor, Mike was able to expand processes, identify linkages to risks and to develop controls to ensure compliance across all company functions.   Mike was responsible for both the 2015 and 2016 SOC audits in addition to further refining and expanding Windsor’s formal information security program.  His ability to develop staff allowed him to assume additional responsibilities in 2016 including regulatory compliance and information security.

Prior to Windsor, Mike was a senior management consultant in the KPMG financial institutions group. He has extensive experience working with diversified financial firms to implement efficiencies and risk management strategies. He began his career with PNC Capital Markets.  Mike graduated with honors from Miami University with a degree in Finance.

In his new role as Director, Mike is responsible for the risk management and regulatory compliance departments.  As a compliance-focused organization, all of our processes are built with controls to eliminate residual risk.   With his comprehensive knowledge of Windsor processes and risk management best practices, Mike will excel in his new role.

Jeff Nogle, Vice President

Jeff joined Windsor in April 2015.   Over the past 18 months, he has taken on progressively increasing responsibilities.   First, as a Senior Associate on the processing desk, Jeff was tasked with processing and closing SBA and USDA loans with the most complex structures.   Next, as Manager of the closing department, Jeff excelled in both leadership and communication.   During his time with Windsor, Jeff has overseen more than $250 million in SBA and USDA loan closings and has effectively managed a team of six closers.   He was a critical contributor to the continued expansion of the Windsor internal and external reporting tools, ensuring increased communication with our clients.

Prior to Windsor, Jeff was an associate at Charles River Associates, a global consulting firm, where he focused on business valuations and complex litigation.   Jeff graduated with high honors from The University of Illinois with a degree in Finance.

In his new role as Vice President, Jeff will have direct responsibility for all aspects of the Processing Department including budgeting, internal and external reporting, and management of staff.  As department head, Jeff will continue to exhibit the focus and communication that has resulted in his prior success at the firm.
